Active participant in democratic processes

Civil society institutions serve as an important guarantor of democracy, the rule of law and individual freedoms in the country. They take a direct part in civic activity, national self-awareness, further enhancing the political and legal culture of members of society, strengthening civic position, independent thinking, realizing their potential, and managing the affairs of society and the state.

 

 

It has been a year since the start of the Center for Analysis of Democratic Processes, created for the purpose of analyzing and forecasting socio-political and socio-economic processes in the country, studying the ideological content of the information space, and promoting national unity and interfaith harmony.

Over the past period, the activities of the Center have been based on the principles of voluntariness, legality, collegiality, equality, openness and self-government.

 

 

As part of the Action Program for 2023, the ideological content of the information space, socio-political and socio-economic processes, issues aimed at improving the spiritual and educational environment, ensuring interethnic and interfaith harmony in the republic were studied.

In particular:

– a comprehensive analysis of the development of political institutions, multi-party systems and the electoral system was carried out, based on the results of which proposals and recommendations were developed;

– analyzed the activities of parliamentary, political parties and electoral bodies in the country and more than 20 foreign countries, the processes of their development and prepared reviews based on them;

– information and analytical reports on the ideological content of the information space were prepared;

– monitoring of the processes of implementation of constitutional reforms and organization of presidential elections in Uzbekistan, presidential, parliamentary, local elections and referendums held in more than 20 foreign countries (Kazakhstan, Turkey, Singapore, Azerbaijan, etc.) was carried out, proposals and recommendations were developed;

– the social mood of the population and the political, economic, social, and cultural factors influencing it have been studied ;

– subcultures that arise in the process of globalization and their negative impact on the consciousness of young people have been studied. Proposals have been developed to eliminate ideas and spiritual threats that contradict the interests of society and national values.

An information and analytical report has been prepared and developed on the activities of local Councils and deputies, the improvement of regulations governing their activities, the experience of foreign countries in this area, the role of local Councils in solving problems of the population.

Telegram bot “Referendum 2023” has been developed. The bot contains more than 1,000 information, informational and propaganda materials, in particular 26 documents, 337 infographics, 389 videos, 31 voice messages, 287 articles and opinions. About a million people used the “Referendum 2023” telegram bot.

 

 

Was provided in the effective conduct of training sessions organized for members of referendums and precinct commissions conducting presidential elections, and methodological assistance was provided to more than 500 referendum sites in 10 regions .

Our efforts to further effectively operate the Center will be directed in 2024 and in subsequent years.
