On November 24, 2023, in the meeting room of the administration of the Turakurgan district of the Namangan region, the regional branch of the Center for Analysis of Democratic Processes organized a round table on the topic: “Issues of public control at district gatherings of citizens.”

The event was attended by the regional and district departments for combating poverty and employment, chairmen of district public meetings, assistants to the khokim, and women activists.

During the round table, the problems of developing civil society in our country, transforming the institution of neighborhood into a key link in government management and control, and establishing close cooperation between government bodies and citizens were discussed.

Proposals were also developed aimed at improving the skills of neighborhood chairmen in establishing effective public control over the activities of government bodies and eliminating existing problems in this direction.
