Historic meeting with members of the European Parliament took place

The meetings of the Uzbek delegation consisting of representatives of civil society continue in Brussels. The next meeting was organized with members of the European Parliament, where the deputies planning to visit our country listened to the opinions of representatives of Uzbek civil society.

The head of the delegation A. Pardayev spoke about the large-scale reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan, the consolidation of the rights and interests of civil society institutions in a separate chapter of the Constitution, the ongoing improvement of legislation in this area, as well as the significance for the region of the Central Asia - European Union summit and the Global Climate Forum recently held in Samarkand. The delegation members also expressed their opinions on the changes in the country and active cooperation with the European region.

During the question and answer session, ideas and proposals were expressed on the development of political parties, the establishment of cooperation and strengthening ties between "analytical centers".

Although the meeting in such a format with members of the European Parliament with the participation of the Uzbek delegation was held for the first time, the spirit of mutual respect and constructive dialogue was maintained.
